ACMG Guide | Yukon Alpine Adventures

Olivier is the founder, owner and lead guide for Yukon Alpine Adventures, a company that specializes in remote, off-trail backcountry adventures and skills courses.

Prior to the company’s founding in 2023, Olivier had worked as an outdoor educator and professional guide for six years, leading groups along the rugged BC coastline, the high alpine mountains of the Yukon, and everywhere in between.

In 2020, Olivier became fully certified as a Hiking Guide from the Association of Canadian Mountain Guides (ACMG).


Educator

As an educator, Olivier Clements has helped youth discover their potential in a wilderness setting. Clements has worked extensively with the Strathcona Park Lodge & Outdoor Education Centre (Vancouver Island), St George’s School (Vanvouver), TREK Outdoor Education Program (Vancouver) and the Wood Street Centre (Whitehorse).

Pushing participants beyond their perceived limitations, Clements has helped students learn leadership, team work, and camp skills. Whether it’s rock climbing inside or outside, backpacking with boots or snowshoes, portaging canoes on multi-day trips, or learning s’more techniques around a campfire, Olivier Clements has brought countless students into the backcountry to share his passion for remote and wild places.

Since 2015, Olivier Clements has worked to bring awareness to the issues of old growth logging on Vancouver Island. One of the founding members of the Coastal Trail Collective, Clements has worked to develop and maintain boardwalk and trail networks to help with recreational access in the endangered Central Walbran Valley.
